The capital for building and renovating houses comes from gifts. These gifts are generously made by individuals in our community, local organizations, area churches, foundations and corporations. Proceeds from the donations to the Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity Restore are also a source of capital for building homes in our area. All donations to Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity and to the Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity Restore contribute to placing families in affordable housing in our area.
Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity would have the funds to build One Habitat House if:
2,400 people pledged $5 per month for One Year
1,200 people pledged $10 per month for One Year
600 people pledged $20 per month for One Year.
We are a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status. Your donations are tax deductible and will receive a receipt for your donation.
Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity depends upon the generosity of our community members who donate their time and expertise. Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity participates in the paint recycling and reuse program through PaintCare. We accept paint that can be sold in the Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity Restore, as well as paint to be recycled. Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity is reimbursed for the paint that is sold through the Restore.
PaintCare was created by the American Coating Association, a trade association of the paint industry. It began in Oregon in 2009 as a pilot program, establishing the state as the first to adopt a paint recycling and reuse program. Today, the program has been adopted by several other states and continues to grow.
